ANIMAL TESTING
Take action for animals in laboratories
Dorset Against Animal Testing is a grassroots animal rights group fighting for the abolition of all animal testing. They attend and organise protests and outreach all over Dorset against those who prop up the animal testing industry, such as research organisations, banks providing loans to expand the animal testing industry and suppliers to the notorious UK beagle puppy factory MBR Acres.

ANIMAL VIGILS
Join an animal vigil
Dorset Animal Save holds regular cow vigils at ABP Manston and sheep vigils at ABP Yetminster. Animal Save Movement chapters bear witness to victims of the food system documenting their final moments before they face the horrors of the killing floor. Through initiatives such as vegan voucher giveaways, special all-day vigils, media coverage and viral videos reaching millions, new people join the transformative animal vigils and come face to face with farmed animal victims, and for many, this leads to on-the-spot diet change.

HUNT SABS
Become a Hunt Saboteur
Despite the 2004 ban on hunting, across Dorset and beyond, organised hunts continue to chase and kill foxes, hare, mink, otters and deer for fun.
Hunt saboteurs are wildlife defenders who use non-violent direct action to save the lives of thousands of hunted animals every year. They intervene using tactics such as voice calls, hunting horns, gizmo (recorded hound calls) and whips to call hounds off foxes and other animal scents, allowing animals to escape certain danger. If an animal is seen and at risk of being chased by hounds, sabs follow their trail and spray diluted citronella to mask their scent.
There are many ways to get involved as a hunt saboteur. As well as taking direct action, there is always a need for drivers, navigators, researchers, graphic designers, writers and fundraisers.
